Halton Farnworth Hornets ARLFC match reports: Accrington Wild Cats u12 0 Halton Farnworth Hornets u12 46 Halton Farnworth Hornets under 12s overcame extremely wet pitch conditions to record an emphatic victory over a developing Accrington side.
Callum Edwards opened the scoring with two consecutive tries.
Other scorers in the first half were Full Back Adam Kirby and speedster Adam Paul, Second half, Matthew Avery got a fifty yard try, followed by prop forward Stephen Fenney who scored under the posts.
A great break by substitute Chris Collins saw Jack Mason score a fine try.
The final try saw several sets of Hornets hands keep the ball alive for Josh Steadman to score and gain the man of the match award for his efforts in defence.
Tries were scored by Callum Edwards 2, Adam Kirby, Adam Paul, Stephen Fenney, Matthew Tyrer, Matthew Avery, Jack Mason and Josh Steadman.
Man of the match was Josh Steadman, top tackler Tom Johnson, coaches award went to Matthew Avery and top trainer was Matthew Tyrer.
All other matches cancelled due to water-logged pitches.
