I WAS surprised by the letter from Councillor Tom McInerney, (November 6), about the Arriva number six bus service.
Although I am happy the service has been saved, I am puzzled by the councillor’s comments about the Green Party representative.
I used this bus service to get me from Warrington to Liverpool, so I was disappointed when it was cancelled. I have not seen any announcements in the press, other than the councillor’s letter, to say the service has been resumed.
I have been using the 110 Arriva and 14 Halton buses to get me from Warrington to Liverpool, because I did not know Councillor McInerney had saved the number six service.
Maybe if he had told people earlier, then the Green Party would not have written its letter.
Farnworth Road, which the bus runs along, and the top of Barrows Green Lane, are in the Farnworth council ward, not the Halton View ward.
It did not occur to me to contact the Halton View councillors about a bus service that goes through another ward.
